Before we had kids, we just loved taking off on road trips! Heck, we even loved just sitting in the car, chatting or listening to music. Among the bottomless heap of reasons for moving over here was our desire to explore surrounding areas as a family. Not only within France, but the neighbouring countries of Italy, Spain, Switzerland and beyond!
A couple of years ago, we converted a VW Transporter van and consequently we brought it with us to the Alps. The kids (now 8 and 5) love to camp and as long as we’ve enough snacks to see us through and some decent movies on the iPad, they are happy road trippin’, too.
