We’ve got a new toy!.. TOOL! I mean we’ve got a new tool!
We love it here and we love sharing photos, stories and other stuff about the area and the things you can get up to. We’ve been meaning to do this for a while and may be a bit late to the party buuuut… we figured it was high time we got ourselves a drone! Now we can capture and share even more perspectives of the good stuff!
We picked it up on Friday, have had a few flights already and have shared a few of short vids to our facebook page.

It won’t be long now until the Chavannes is coated in the white stuff and peppered with sliders. We wanted to capture it while it’s still looking dry, dusty and summery.
Roc D’Enfer from Mont Caly, Les Gets – 2 October 2018.
We knew the tops had had a dusting of snow but we didn’t have the time this morning to drive up to Avoriaz and get above the clouds. The skies were clearer to the west of Les Gets and a drive up Mont Caly revealed Roc D’Enfer looking stunning beyond the trees.

I have to say, it’s flipping cool. I was just thinking of it as a tool to capture and share footage but I hadn’t even considered that just flying the thing around would be so much fun!
I’m also hoping we’ll be able to get some good action shots when I’ve figured out all the settings and controls. A mate of ours is already getting excited at the prospect of being filmed speed-flying off Hauts Forts so stay tuned for that one!
