Well hello there!..
As you may have noticed, we haven’t written a ‘proper post’ for yonks! Nina and the kids did a fluffy slime post and video a week or two ago but pretty much the whole summer went by without putting fingers to keyboard for our Up-Stix blog!
In short, there just weren’t enough hours in the day! Summer 2017 was seriously FULL ON!
The summer season in and around the Portes du Soleil is crazy enough, with tons of activities to do and different events on every week. On top of all that and our other responsibilities, we pretty much booked up the entire summer with visits from loads of family and friends!
It was brilliant!.. Exhausting!.. But brilliant!
You may already have followed some of our antics on our social media channels and we won’t bore you with all the details but in a nutshell, our 3 months of summer was jam packed with all the usual stuff: Biking, hiking, scrambling, swimming, day-trips, picnics, more biking, chairlifts, berry-picking, eating, drinking, Spartan racing for the kids, Harley Davidsons, 4x4s, loggers, rally cars, WIBITing (the inflatable obstacle course on the lake), kids’ bike club and a quick trip back to the UK. There was a good spattering of scrapes, bruises and even a few stitches thrown in, as well as some seriously BIG storms which we hope bodes ‘well’ for the winter.

The kids have been back in school for a few weeks now, summer is officially over and the dust is settling. The Crankworx jumps have been flattened, the leaves are turning and Les Gets is prepping for winter. They’ve even been firing up the snow canons this week which is very exciting!
We’ve got a whole bunch of posts in the pipeline so we won’t be leaving it so long next time 😉
