Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Aliens, fairies, insects or just a light refraction?
So we were doing a bit of filming with the new drone the other day and later on when we were chopping up the footage, we noticed something weird that has us a little baffled.
In one clip it looks like something comes sailing out of the sky, diagonally down, not far from the drone. I thought, aha! It’s some wise guy/girl throwing something at it but when we examined the footage, there wasn’t anyone around except the kids playing basketball and no one near the court appears to throw anything. Even if they had, they’d have to have a heck of an arm to throw it that far!
“OK”, we think, so it could just be a bird, light refraction or something, but a few minutes later we spotted another…
This time it winds up vertically from almost ground level and we can see there is nobody there where it starts… Wierd…
A few minutes later, another, this time moving horizontally and very fast.
Now, the first theory would obviously be light reflecting or refracting on the lens but the three movements just seem different to light patterns that we’ve seen on lenses before, especially given the speed and movement of the camera.
