I can’t stop singing this everytime we move and we’re moving again tomorrow so I thought I’d share this old favourite with you and now it can be stuck in your head too 😉
So, we’re back to Les Gets in the morning for the kids to start school on Monday. This is our 4th move in 4 weeks and we’ve booked the place we’re moving to for 3 weeks to start with and possibly more. Luckily, the last minute nature of our bookings have kept this short term letting business just under the threshold of prohibitively expensive!
Here’s a round up of the moves to date:
iiiinn 1! (Bullseye anyone?..)
We moved into Faucigny in Les Gets 10 minutes after finding and booking it. It was hotter than the sun but had everything we needed in a very central location. We also got a supply of homemade jam, homemade biscuits and lucky charms to hang on our chimney when we left.

We moved into a recently refurbished apartment in a beautiful chalet in Essert Romand. Lovely place, even though it took 2 days to get warm! The fabulous ‘Petit Auberge’ restaurant was just a short walk up the road. Aside from the fantastic service and warm welcome, the wild boar stew, steaks and dauphinoise potatoes here were exceptional! Mmm!

Our mates’ place in Le Bouveret Switzerland. Familiar, comfortable, views over the beautiful Lac Leman, great Wifi and a Netflix binge.

Back in town and the proper start to life in Les Gets! We’ve got a nice little duplex apartment that is available for the year! Yippee!
